How the ONS Foundation Helps

Academic scholarships, research grants, community education projects, nursing education web casts, lectureships, and career development awards are just a few of the many tremendous opportunities that the ONS Foundation makes available to oncology nurses. With generous support from our partners, the ONS Foundation has awarded more than 2,204 scholarships, research grants, and awards to oncology nurses and nurse researchers since the organization's inception in 1981. Today, the ONS Foundation remains the only foundation in the United States solely dedicated to the oncology nursing profession.  In addition, the ONS Foundation has provided thousands of oncology nurses nationwide with oncology nursing-focused regional education workshops and web casts.

The ONS Foundation is committed to using donor dollars to advance oncology nursing. In fact, in 2006, approximately 82% of the ONS Foundation's expenses were used to provide educational and research opportunities for oncology nurses.
