Hannah Andrews

Hannah Andrews recently received an ONS Foundation Bachelors Scholarship.  She writes in a release:

“Receiving the Bachelors Scholarship through the ONS Foundation will provide me with the means of pursuing a career path in Pediatric Oncology.  I hope to one day follow in the footsteps of my mother and grandmother.  The ONS Foundation will help guide me to change the lives of many people in hopes of helping children like my cousin, Ian, who has previously received a bone marrow transplant at Monroe Carell JR. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.”

The ONS Foundation has helped me throughout my career in so many ways.  Two years ago I was a recipient of a doctoral scholarship which supported me in the completion phase of doctoral education.  I have since graduated with a PhD in Nursing from The Pennsylvania State University and will be presenting my dissertation research at the ONS Connections Conference in Dallas in November.  Now, as a recipient of a conference scholarship, the ONS Foundation is helping me in the quest to disseminate the findings of my research to colleagues from across the country and the world who will be attending the conference.  These findings will inform our understanding of cognitive changes related to chemotherapy.  In the years to come, I  hope is to give back to the Foundation in whatever ways I can.
