Spring Annual Appeal
The Tribute Wall Classic is a unique way to honor or remember a loved one, friend, patient, or colleague. Support cancer care and outstanding oncology nursing by making a minimum gift of $36 to be listed on our “virtual” wall through the end of 2008. $36 for 36,000 ONS members….assuring a strong future for oncology nursing through the ONS Foundation!
Silver Anniversary Campaign
ONS Foundation's plan for creating three endowments (education, research, and leadership) will serve oncology nurses and the patients they care for now and in the future.
The goal of the Silver Anniversary Campaign is to raise our endowment fund from $3.9 million to $10 million by December 2007. Following the quiet phase of the campaign,
ONS Foundation raised over $4 million. Current endowments funds are $5.3 million.
Memorial/Tribute Gift
A Most Thoughtful Way to Honor or Remember
A gift to the ONS Foundation is an appropriate and meaningful way to remember a loved one or a patient, or to honor a relative, friend or associate on a special occasion at the same time your donation supports the important mission of the ONS Foundation.
Your generous gift to the ONS Foundation helps to ensure that the Foundation remains a resource for oncology nurses in the pursuit of their educational and professional goals. Your gift is important to our work, and we are greatly encouraged by your support.
General Fund
Your donation to the general fund enables ONS Foundation to quickly respond to the needs of
oncology nurses in areas that are designated as priorities by ONS Foundation. Operating expenses,
education programs, research grants, and scholarships are only a few of the areas where general donations
are often needed and applied.
Endowment
Your donation to the ONS Foundation Endowment fund plays an important role in supporting the
oncology nursing profession and quality patient care both now and in the years to come. This
long-term-investment mechanism, similar in many ways to a savings account, enables ONS Foundation
to benefit from an annual return on the principal while the remainder of the funds are reinvested to
benefit oncology nursing related programs in the future.
Academic Scholarships
Your donation to the Academic Scholarship Fund helps oncology nurses in the pursuit of higher
education to reach their academic goals while improving the quality of care that
patients with cancer receive. Your gift will help to create undergraduate, graduate, post-masters nurse
practioner certificate, and doctoral scholarships for oncology nurses nationwide.
Research Grants
Your donation to the Research Grant Scholarship Fund aids oncology nurse researchers in conducting
research that is crucial to improving the care of patients with cancer and oncology nursing practice
overall. Your gift will help to fund small and major research grants to benefit both novice and
expert oncology nurse researchers.
Research Fellowships
Your donation to the Research Fellowship Fund helps to support short-term oncology research
training. By pairing individuals who possess advanced research preparation skills with senior investigators
who have an existing program of research that is relevant to oncology nursing, we will facilitate
oncology-nursing research, develop new researchers, and increase the caliber of oncology nursing
research that is conducted.
Public Education Projects
Your donation to the Public Education Projects Fund helps ONS Foundation to support educational
endeavors that will help to heighten the public's knowledge and awareness about specific
cancer-related topics.
Planned Gift
Making a planned gift to ONS Foundation is a thoughtful way of preparing for your future while preparing for the
future of both oncology nursing and quality patient care. By making a planned gift,
donors are often able to enjoy multiple benefits - making a gift that is important to you and the ONS Foundation
