Did you know the ONS Foundation is the only foundation in the United States solely dedicated to the oncology nursing specialty? For more than 25 years, the ONS Foundation has provided unwavering support to those who skillfully and compassionately deliver cancer care—oncology nurses.

Since its inception in 1982, the ONS Foundation has awarded more than $20 million in research grants, research fellowships, academic scholarships, lectures, public education projects, career development awards, and congress scholarships.

Mary Scherbring ONS Institutes of Learning Conference Scholarships To support a registered nurse interested in developing their career as an oncology nurse by attending the ONS Institutes of Learning Conference. Expired
Congress Scholarship To support a professional nurse interested in improving cancer care through developing their oncology nursing career by attending the ONS Congress. Expired
ONS Advanced Practice Nurse Conference Scholarship To support a professional nurse who has demonstrated innovation in responding to challenges in practice, that has made a difference for the patient/family, institution and/or fellow healthcare professionals. Expired
ONS National Conference on Cancer Nursing Research Conference Scholarship To increase the research knowledge of nurses who are interested in oncology nursing research by providing financial support to attend the ONS National Conference on Cancer Nursing Research. Expired
ONS Foundation Breast Cancer Research Grant A major goal of the ONS Foundation is to provide funding to support the ONS Research Agenda. The agenda’s focus is on areas where gaps exist in the knowledge base for oncology nursing practice.  Applications are invited for breast cancer grant proposals that address high-priority topic areas identified by the 2009 – 2013 ONS Research Agenda. 12/15/2010

Mentored Planning Grant Funding The purpose of the ONS Foundation Mentored Planning Grant Award is to provide development support for new scientists. Funding supports a new investigator to work closely with an established researcher mentor to develop a research proposal. At the end of the funding period, an ONS Foundation Small Grant Application is submitted on October 1 for consideration of a $10,000 small grant award. If ONS Foundation Small Grant funding is received, the investigator and mentor must work together to implement the research study. Expired
