2012 ONS Foundation Second Call for Small Grant Funding (RE01)

Letters of Intent Due: March 26, 2012

Online Applications Due: April 23, 2012

Award: Three small grant awards are available at $10,000 each. Funding period is for 2 years.

Purpose: The grant awards are designed to support oncology nursing research conducted by beginning and experienced researchers.  These small grants are for neuro-oncology nursing research, pain assessment and management or certifications, nursing education and/or outcomes research. Funding preference is given to research that addresses the ONS Research Priorities and Research Agenda.

Eligibility: The principal investigator must be actively involved in some aspect of cancer patient care, education, or research. Funding preference is given to projects that involve nurses in the design and conduct of the research activity. Membership in ONS is not required.

To be considered for funding, the research team must include an experienced researcher and a junior researcher. The inclusion of an advanced practice nurse on the team is encouraged.  Interdisciplinary research teams are encouraged.

Neuro-Oncology Research Grant To support neuro-oncology nursing research sponsored by the American Brain Tumor Association. Please use the Small Grant application when applying and check that you would like to be considered for the Neuro-Oncology Research Grant.
Certification, Education and/or Outcomes Research Grant Sponsored by the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC). Please use the Small Grant application when applying and check that you would like to be considered for the Certification, Education and/or Outcomes Research Grant.
Trish Greene Research Grant To promote oncology nursing research in the areas of pain assessment and pain management. Please use the Small Grant application when applying and check that you would like to be considered for the Trish Greene Research Grant.
