One of my professional goals has been to attend a national conference, and I am so excited to be given a conference scholarship through the ONS Foundation. I love networking with fellow oncology nurses—there is no better group of people. I pride myself on staying current in all aspects of oncology nursing and passing my knowledge along to others for the betterment of our profession, and the ONS Congress is the ultimate venue for this purpose. I cannot express in words the gratitude I have for the scholarship because I could not afford it on my own. I truly appreciate being able to accomplish my goal.

The ONS Connections Conference is a landmark event that demonstrates the need to integrating practice and research for the benefit of our patients. The scholarship I’ve received enables me to focus more fully on my research dissemination, learning, and networking goals for attending. I am grateful to the ONS Foundation for its continued support of advancing my professional career as an oncology nurse scientist.

Receiving a Clinical Project grant through the ONS Foundation will provide me with the financial resources and the professional endorsement necessary to implement a system-wide clinical change project. I have practiced oncology nursing for 30 years in a variety of clinical roles; therefore, being a recipient of an ONS Foundation grant that supports my work is a professional highlight for me.
